Why Sugar?
Sugar is a natural humectant. It draws moisture from the environment into your skin. Using sugar based products can help hydrate your skin and retain moisture. Sugar is also a natural source of glycolic acid, which is an alpha hydroxy acid. This penetrates the skin, breaking down the bond holding the skin cells together. This allows cell turnover resulting in fresher and healthier looking skin.
Benefits to using an all natural sugar scrub:
- Beyond its ability to pamper you with natural ingredients, a sugar scrub is a good choice to exfoliate and smooth your skin, even if it’s extremely sensitive.
- Sugar scrubs brighten tired, dull-looking skin to promote healthy, smooth, and flawless skin.
- Sugar scrubs also fight skin aging in a natural way.
- To help free ingrown hairs, you can use a sugar scrub in a circular motion, which is less abrasive than a back and forth movement on your skin.
